While service animals can transform lives, less than 1% of Americans with disabilities have access to one. These incredible animals—ranging from guide dogs and diabetic alert animals to PTSD service dogs and seizure response companions—offer critical support and independence to those in need.
At A Lending Paw, our mission is to raise awareness and funds to prevent distress for both people and animals by directly supporting community programs focused on physical and mental health, fitness, and nutrition. We strive to connect individuals facing challenges with rescued and trained service animals, creating bonds that bring hope, healing, and a brighter future for all.

Partnering with K9s For Warriors: Supporting Heroes and Their Canine Companions
At A Lending Paw, we are proud to support the incredible mission of K9s For Warriors, the nation’s largest provider of trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma. Through our donation, we’ve joined their efforts to save two lives: veterans in need of hope and healing, and rescue dogs waiting for a second chance.
K9s For Warriors transforms the lives of both veterans and rescue dogs by pairing them together to create an unbreakable bond. Their program not only empowers veterans to reclaim their independence but also provides loving homes for dogs rescued from shelters. With a shared commitment to making a difference, we are honored to contribute to this life-changing work.

Ace’s story is a heartwarming testament to the transformative work of K9s For Warriors. Paired with Sheady, an Army veteran from Indiana, Ace has already made an incredible impact, helping Sheady regain independence and confidence. In just a short time, Ace has become Sheady’s loving and supportive companion, enabling them to step back into the community, travel, shop, and host events for their nonprofit. Ace’s intelligence, playfulness, and dedication to her warrior have built a bond that continues to grow stronger every day, showcasing the life-changing power of the bond between a service dog and their human.
